 I don't know why our school is making us order them so freaking early. We're only sophomores but whatever. I just can't wait to slip that beauty on my finger. 8DDD So I was wondering, guys. What does your class ring look like? And if you don't have one yet, when are you getting it and what is it going to look like?

Erm, mine has my name, obviously, and 2004.. one side has a cheerleader, and the other has music notes and a lion. And an alexandrite, which isn't even my birthstone, cause my birthstone was ugly and pink

I got mine last year. It's "Lustrium" aka fake silver, with a blue stone. On one side it says my name and has ballet slippers engraved on it, and the other side says 2010 and has my school seal on it. My name is also engraved on the inside.

 I couldn't get class rings for both my high school and my university. In high school the only option was a platinum ring with a massive sapphire stone...as you'd imagine, that was a little pricey. There was no way in hell that most of us could afford it. In university there were tons of options, but as the economy tanked, my parents were down to living off of 2/3's of a single income and I had little chance of getting any kind of decent job in the near future, I couldn't get any of the decent ones. I could get an ugly little "lustrium" band with the year on it, but it cost a fair bit on its own and looked like a crapty piece of kid's jewelry, so I didn't bother. This is the one I likely would have chosen if I had the opportunity, and maybe I'll get one some time in the future.

 For some reason, class rings were given out in middle school for me. (We'll still get them in high school, I guess they were just indroducing class rings to us or something.) Mine's gold lustrium with a ruby. It looks like one of those rings from a jewelry store and not all fat, and there's a design on the sides that looks like ribbons, but for some reason the order form said they were flowers.  We had to order ours our Sophmore year too. But I think that they do it so early, because you don't even get your rings until Junior year (If I remember correctly) and that gives you plenty of time to pay for them if you might have trouble doing so.  I get mine this Friday. ;D! I'm so excited! It's not the chunky kind, it's called Princess or something. So it's thin and feminine. It has the mascot on one side and the FFA symbol on the other, it's silver with the blue stone for our school. I ordered it back in like October so I can't really remember, but I know it has the year somewhere, and my initials on the inside. :p

 I ordered mine as a senior, its got an aquamarine stone with an I on it, a pawprint on one side for my school and a ying yang on the other (Cause they offered crosses but no pentagrams) its got my intitals on the inside (except i used my mothers maiden name instead of my last name)

I wear mine around my neck because I can't wear rings at work. It's a pink stone (supposedly opal) on a silver elite band. To the left of the stone is my name, Sarah, and to the right, my graduation year, 2009. My full name is engraved on the inside. It's really pretty  |

Mine has a pink stone. With a metal LO in the middle of the stone. It has a rose on one side that says Ashley and a Dragon on the other for our school mascot and it says 2008. Last Edit by:

It's a class ring. It's a ring with your high school's name on it, the year you graduate, and maybe the mascot and school colors. You keep it with you always so you remember the golden years when you're senile and 80. Cost depends on the kind of metal it's made out of, at least from that company. Mine's $212.99 'cuz it has some platinum mixed in with the silver.

 A simple silver band I made in art class that cost me $5.00 for the supplies, it was cheap sure but I made it by myself, how many of you can say that? I found the class rings awfully tacky and large and not worth the money. Over all I don't need a ring to remind me what year I graduated and what my initials are, I have photo's for that and my initials are simple enough to remember. Last Edit by:

 The weather is impeccable, riding to a festival... It looks exactly like this, but my high school name is on the left and my graduation year on the right, and my full name is on the inside. I opted not to get the most expensive/traditional one. Odds are I won't wear it much after high school..  Edit: I also didn't get my birthstone because I didn't want to get a pink ring.  I love my class ring, but I lost it over a year ago... I think I was throwing some snow and it slipped off my finger. x: I need to buy a new one before my 6 year warranty is up. But it was the basic class ring with a garnet stone, and there was a wolf under the stone.  |

Something like   They'd differ from state to state. I see a few school now are doing hoodies instead. But to remain on topic, Most of the class rings are really strange looking. I mean do you wear them? Or are they simply a memento? And whats a sophomore? If (some of) you got them when you were sophomores, how old wou;ld that make you, and what year would you be in? Does everyone get the same style?

Mine has orange topaz(my birthstone) as the jewel and my school name around it, my initals engraved on the inside, my name on oneside above our schools mascot(wildcat) and it has a crest with a harp, crossed lighting bolts, Hermes' shoe, and a torch, and 2005 above it

 I thought most schools started trying to get you to buy them early on? I know they bothered us like every year about class rings. I never got one because I really hated my high school and felt no school spirit or need to remind myself of it. My class ring is a simple design. It has a thin 10k gold band with my graduation year engraved on one side and my name on the other with a garnet in the middle. The design in the catalog on jostens is a chante. Very elegant and classic looking. Last Edit by:

But, like, every sports team had them every year, as well as choir, band, etc. Our school, pretty much, you had to eat, sleep, and breath trail spirit, cause there was nothing else to DO around here, except cow tipping :/ @Doglet Sophmore is 10th grade.. it goes freshman (9), sophmore, junior, senior (12). So about 16? We didn't get the same ones, we all ordered what we wanted.
